  • 1 kg chicken pieces
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 shallots thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2-3 bird's eye chilies adjust to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the garlic and shallots until fragrant.
  3. Add chicken pieces, cooking until browned on all sides.
  4. Stir in turmeric, soy sauce, and brown sugar; mix well.
  5. Pour in coconut milk and add bird's eye chilies; simmer.
  6. Cook for 30-40 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
