Perfectly Grilled Swordfish: A Delightful Summer Dish

Tender and flaky swordfish fillets are marinated in a zesty blend of citrus and herbs, then grilled to achieve a smoky char that enhances their natural richness, making this dish a standout choice for summer gatherings or elegant dinner parties.

Ingredients

  • 2 6 oz swordfish steaks
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Method

  1. Prepare the marinade by combining olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the swordfish steaks in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F / 200°C).
  4. Remove the swordfish from the marinade and allow excess to drip off; discard the remaining marinade.
  5. Season the swordfish steaks with additional salt and pepper if desired, then place them on the preheated grill.
  6. Grill the swordfish for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Once cooked, remove the swordfish from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Serve the grilled swordfish with lemon wedges on the side.
