Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs, approximately 1 inch in diameter.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the meatballs for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
  5. Add marinara sauce to the skillet and let the meatballs simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. While the meatballs simmer, mix butter with garlic powder and brush this mixture on the sub rolls.
  7. Toast the garlic-buttered rolls in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Once toasted, remove the rolls and place the meatballs into each roll, topping with marinara sauce.
  9. Top each sub with a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  10. Return the assembled subs to the oven for an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  11. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve hot.
