In a food processor, combine basil, garlic, and Parmesan cheese, then pulse until finely chopped.
With the food processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the mixture is smooth.
Taste and season the pesto with more salt if needed.
Toss the cooked pasta and sliced chicken with the pesto in a large bowl.
Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan and basil if desired.
